Known for her extensive portfolio of couture bridal gowns, Vera Wang was once an editor for Vogue magazine, getting the job right after graduating from Sarah Lawrence College.

In 1990, Wang opened her own flagship bridal studio on Madison Avenue in New York City.
At “Vera Wang Bridal Studio Ltd.”Wang initially sold couture gowns made by other designers, but started selling her own work.

In 2000, Wang moved to the more casual side of bridal fashion, designing gowns for everyday women as well as high society. Her “ready to wear” line was showcased the same year.
